Patrick's 10 Favorite Vampire and Werewolf Movies

03. Interview With the Vampire (1994)

Adapted from the Anne Rice novel of the same name, Neil Jordan directs a terrific cast in what is the only good adaptation of Rice’s work (not that there is a lot to choose from but Queen of the Damned bit ass). Rice initially hated the casting of Tom Cruise as Lestat in the film but after seeing the film wrote a letter of apology for having doubted and disparaged him. The performances are top notch and the sets, locations and costumes are pitch perfect. Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst bring their characters to life so convincingly and the film is so well directed that I feel like it is one of the rare cases of the film elevating the source material. Of course, given the climate we live in these days there are rumors of a possible reboot with Robert Downey Jr as Lestat.

  1. Okay, so I was almost to the bottom of the “vampire” list and I was like, “Where the hell is the Lost Boys.”

    I almost had a stroke.

    Best soundtrack, EVER.

  3. You can also use midi controllers on certains phones, and you
can load your own sounds and samples in WAV or Soundfont format.
It’s all being done on a consumer and a grass-roots basis but I think some of the options that are available in
usable technologies can be brought here and the DVC30 was one of those.
Not all mp3 player decor will work with the next brand.
