Apologies that this wasn’t posted last night, but I was out late with the Gentlemen recording a new podcast and didn’t have a chance to finish the recap until after work today.  So if you already saw Marilyn Manson’s insane drug-fueled ramblings about what the episode meant on The Talking Dead, I forgive you if you don’t want my mostly sober ramblings.  But just know that The Talking Dead is SO mainstream.  We are the more elite, underground recap.  Anyways, here we go..

The title of the episode is “Isolation.” Obviously the flu will weigh heavily

We open on Glenn digging graves. He complained about this in the preview.

More people are getting sick. This flu thing ain’t going away. This is why Glenn Mazarra was fired?

Tyrese demanding Rick find the killer of Karen and David. David from Decatur getting another shout out. Quite a lot for a character never shown.

Tyrese is angry…You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry.

Uh-oh. Now Rick is angry. You wouldn’t like HIM when he’s angry either!

Rick beats his ass! With his bare hands! Take that, George Zimmerman! You CAN fight back with just your fists!

Herschel tells Rick about the Council Meeting. This feel good bullshit obviously won’t last long.

Herschel says Rick beating Tyrese was him falling off the wagon. Apparently his addiction is ass kicking.  No word on the gum chewing.

Tyrese’s eye is completely swollen shut. He got his ass beat HARD.

DeAngelo Barksdale again. He is really annoying on this show. He has to be the killer, right?

Tyrese’s sister Sasha is coughing something awful. Well shit…it’s a week of everyone shitting on Tyrese.

And Dr. S is sick too. Is making the only Indian cast member a doctor uplifting or racist?

“We have to tell them…It’s starting.” More dramatic foreshadowing. They are living in the Zombie Apocalypse. I doubt they thought everything would be sunshine and lollipops.

Glenn is sick! Well that’s the best news that this won’t drag on all season. They aren’t going to kill Glenn this quickly are they?

Herschel pimping the veterinary clinics. So much superior to those human health clinics.

Herschel wants to go. “we always have to run” Harsh, Darryl. Tell the gimpy old man he can’t cut it.

The young and weak are susceptible to virus. “What about the old” LEAVE HERSCHEL ALONE!

Carl has been quarantined.

Tyrese turns Darryl down to go help. He is going to wait for the killer to return. I’m sure an angry big brute of a man holding guard won’t stop the killer from coming around.

“When did Rick give it back?” Does Carl know it was Herschel that dropped the dime on him? Is he in trouble here?

If Tyrese was a super hero he would be known as Black Hammer.  What?  It’s not MY fault they are usually very lazy in coming up with super hero names.

So Carol is our murderer. Rick will most likely protect her, but damn. Teaching little kids to kill, killing people that aren’t dead yet, telling little girls to quit being a pussy when they are sad about their father dying a mere few hours prior… Carol has quite a storyline this year. I’m still not thrilled with the flu being the main storyline of the season. I hope it is just to start out. With Glenn being sick I think they will be able to find a treatment for it either next episode or the one after.  I sure hope so.  See you next week!
