1) The “vote for the show you like” system was used around 2006/2007 on BBC Three and that was how Being Human (the original UK version) was greenlit to series. HOWEVER, when they went to produce the series, they re-cast two of the three main castmembers. But it was great to see the pilots that were in the running- some of them, you can see why they didn’t go to series but they were so amazingly off-the-wall that it was nice to know they got to see the light of day- look up Phoo Action (written by Daisy Steiner herself: Jessica Hynes).
2) Really? No mention of how the 1941 Maltese Falcon is considered the best example of a remake surpassing the original?
3) Patrick, how did I not know you also loved the TV edit of Mallrats? I especially love just how extra WTF-y half the film becomes because of the removal of plot points- no third nipple shown, no idea what Brody did to the chocolate pretzels, no idea what the “back of a volkswagon” joke is referring to.
4) Yay, How Did This Get Made!
5) Yay, Geeks Who Drink! I miss it.
6) The Rode sounds excellent. I have a BlueMic Yeti, but don’t get to play with it nearly enough.
7) What is the deal with the feed for the podcast? Did you guys give up on iTunes?

1.) Sweet, I’ll have to look into that.
2.) I was checked out at the time, but I believe that came up on the recap of this episode.
3.) I’ll leave this to JP0 to address.
4.) Jeff has been talking about it quite a bit, haven’t had time to give it fair listen myself yet.
5.) Always good times!
6.) Blue makes decent mics! We actually use the Snowball combined with an iPad for mobile recordings.
7.) Hmm, that should have updated. iTunes is REALLY slow and tricky to change over feeds I’ll try to keep an eye on it.
