08. 30 Days of Night (2007)
Based on the graphic novel by Steve Niles and directed by Twilight Eclipse’s own David Slade, 30 Days of Night tells the story of an Alaskan town in which night time lasts for a month and then some vampires come. Starring Josh Hartnett, Danny Huston and Ben Foster. I’ve never read the comics but the movie is pretty single minded with the small band of survivors trying to make it through the month without falling victim to the savage vampires waiting in the shadows. The vampires here are not pretty or romantic but rather ghoulish monsters with mouths of sharp teeth and very little subtly. The tension is effective and Slade provides interesting and engaging shots and camera set ups. There isn’t a lot of explanation for the vampires but that is part of the horror of it all. The movie was more or less ignored at the box office and that is a shame. Luckily it looks fantastic on blu-ray.

Okay, so I was almost to the bottom of the “vampire” list and I was like, “Where the hell is the Lost Boys.”
I almost had a stroke.

You can also use midi controllers on certains phones, and you
can load your own sounds and samples in WAV or Soundfont format.
It’s all being done on a consumer and a grass-roots basis but I think some of the options that are available in
usable technologies can be brought here and the DVC30 was one of those.
Not all mp3 player decor will work with the next brand.
