05. Teen Wolf (1985)
Teen Wolf was one of my first werewolf movies and remains one of my favorites. It is a comedy and as such leaves the horror elements out altogether. It could be argued that Teen Wolf is also playing off the puberty metaphor for lycanthropy but it is mostly concerned with proving that it is the person inside that counts, not the wolf man who can slam dunk a basketball. The film is a prime example of 80s comedy cheese but it is also genuinely funny and Michael J Fox does a great job as the teenager who finds fame and high school acceptance as a teenage wolf man. I am not really sure why turning into a wolfman makes you better at basketball or allows you to do a handstand on a moving van but it doesn’t really matter that much. The werewolf angle is something of a MacGuffin in so far as it wouldn’t matter if he was a teen wolf or a teen super hero, the point is that he lets it go to his head and forgets what matters most. It is heartwarming in a corny way and funny in a funny way. The sequel, which stars Jason Bateman, is highly skippable as all you have to do is replace high school with college and basketball with boxing. There, now I’ve saved you an hour and a half. But the original is awesome.

Okay, so I was almost to the bottom of the “vampire” list and I was like, “Where the hell is the Lost Boys.”
I almost had a stroke.

You can also use midi controllers on certains phones, and you
can load your own sounds and samples in WAV or Soundfont format.
It’s all being done on a consumer and a grass-roots basis but I think some of the options that are available in
usable technologies can be brought here and the DVC30 was one of those.
Not all mp3 player decor will work with the next brand.
