E3 Videos!

These are videos I took while walking around but I didn’t play myself so I don’t have a full preview to write on them. I will include my impressions after each video. Some are better than others and most are really short snippets of gameplay.

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Multi-player. I didn’t get to play this as the lines were super long and I never managed to get through it but it is designed by the same people who did the Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow multi-player. That is really all you have to say. But to say a little more, it looks really cool and I am pretty excited for this. Sorry for the short length of the video, I wish I had gotten more.

Enslaved. I am not sure how I feel about this. It looks like the solid parts are there but there doesn’t look like much that is new or different. Then again I didn’t play it.

Fable III Pretty short and shitty clip. Demos for games like Fable III seem weird to me as it is going to play similarly in the broad strokes to the previous games but it is with time with the game that the innovations and differences…so a few minutes with the game on the show floor doesn’t show much. That being said Fable III looked pretty much the same as Fable II. I saw some people do goofy things like run around in a chicken costume while trying to kill little kids. The guy was not able to harm the child and I think he was shitty for trying but whatever, I am not the player morality police. Anyway, Fable III looked good in as much as Fable II looked good. Hopefully without the bugs of last time.

Hawx 2. Just the trailer, not much else to say.

Medal of Honor. I never managed to get my hands on it but it looked more or less like Call of Duty or any number of other such FPSs.

Metroid Other M. Sadly the videos just show the opening intro and a first person boss fight. The rest, which I could never manage to get good video on, looks very much like Shadow Conspiracy with 2D gameplay that can go into and out of the environment. The action looked very much in line with old school Metroid gameplay. I don’t know how the two are going to mesh as I didn’t get hands on time (there is only so much time I was going to wait in line for Nintendo and 2.5 hours was my limit) but it looks interesting.
