The Scream Queen Pageant
This was pretty awesome. Usually there are interviews with Scream Queens that range from funny and informative to completely nonsensical and batshit insane. This year the pageant stood in for the interview and it basically found audience volunteers going up on stage to do a scenario that mixed slasher movie tropes into a reason for the participant to scream at the top of his or her lungs. In this case, the contestant had to pretend to be a college co-ed who accidentally murdered someone last summer and was seeing him resurrected behind them after stumbling upon the killer’s machete. This was made more difficult due to being blind. Thankfully for the participant, they were able to see right before the killer showed up. The audience then judged the screams and performances by a round of applause.
